I have been working in the oil field for about 16 years (since 2007). I started as a petrophysicist at Offshore Shukeir Oil Company (OSOCO), working in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, for one year. This was followed by more than 15 years of experience working as a wellsite and development geoscientist at Khalda Petroleum Company (KPC) in the Western Desert of Egypt. I obtained a B.Sc. degree in geology from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2007, followed by a diploma in applied geophysics from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2012, a master's degree in structural geology and tectonics from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2015, and a Ph.D. degree in Geophysics from Damanhur University, Beheira, Egypt, in 2019.
My fields of interest include well logging interpretation, well correlation, 3D geological modeling, seismic interpretation, and pore pressure prediction. I prefer to use software such as IP, Petrel, and Decision Space for subsurface geological applications, and ARCGIS, ERDAS Imagine, and PCI Geomatica for surface geological purposes, and OpenWorks for geological database management.
I participate as a geology instructor in many Egyptian universities.
Integrates well, geological, petrophysical, geophysical, and other field data types as required to update subsurface understanding and associated operational risks from pore to play scale.
